Let's Play Mahjong for Galentine’s Day: Open Play, Bubbles + Brunch
Join us for a delightful Mahjong Galentine’s Day event hosted by Katy Spratte Joyce, with a special guest appearance by Omaha's Mahjong expert, Mahjong Mary. This is the perfect excuse to gather your best friends, sharpen your tile-tapping skills, and enjoy a celebratory brunch together.
If you don’t know how to play yet, purchase a “spectator” ticket and just come and hang out!
What to expect:
Two hours of open play: Bring your favorite strategies, share tips, and learn from fellow Mahjong enthusiasts in a friendly, social setting. We will provide the sets (mats, tiles, and racks). Please bring your 2025 NMJL card.
Special help: Mahjong Mary will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate techniques, and offer guidance to players of all levels.
Champagne or Mimosa Bar welcome: Start the day with a celebratory glass of champagne or mimosa to set a festive mood. Additional drinks available for purchase.
Brunch: A delicious brunch spread will be served after the open play session, so you can mingle and toast to Galentine's Day. Brunch includes individual egg stratas, citrus yogurt parfaits, salad, egg and chicken salad sandwiches, and a sweet treat.
