Join us for Heirloom’s first Summer Cooking School!

11am - 3pm

We are so excited about this class! We will teach guests how to select the freshest seasonal ingredients at a local farmers' market, and then return to the kitchen to transform our seasonal haul into a vibrant, multi-course summer meal.

The Farmers Market Tour (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Guests meet at our kitchen, grab a canvas tote bag, and then we’ll head over to the local market stand at 78th and Cass.

  • The Market "Mise en Place": We discuss seasonal produce availability and what to look for.

  • Meet the Makers:Wevisit a preferred local farm stand that sells products from many of the farmers we work with, gathering ingredients for the menu and tasting samples along the way.

  • Scavenger Hunt: Guests are given extra cash to purchase a "chefs choice" item to incorporate into the final meal.

Phase 2: Kitchen Prep & Cooking (12pm - 2pm)

Hands on cooking in the kitchen.

  • Appetizer: Farmer’s Market Caprese Salad with Heirloom’s favorite dressings

    • Dressings: Basil Mint Yogurt Dressing and Simple Lemon Vinaigrette

  • Main: Farmer’s Market Sheet-Pan Roast Chicken Dinner

    • Technique: Herb-crusted summer chicken with roasted vegetables from the market‍.

    • Sauces: Salsa Verde and Tzatziki

  • Dessert: Fruit Galettes

    • Technique: Rolling out rustic, flaky, and foolproof free-form pastry dough.

Class Schedule:

  • 11am - 3pm

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the course starts. We will begin promptly at 11am. We will have a welcome snack and coffee.

  • We will be going to the farmer’s market and then cooking from 11am - 2pm.

  • From 2-3:00pm, you will sit down at our table to enjoy everything you cooked together.

Classes are limited to 10 guests. The class consists of three hours of cooking instruction followed by a group meal at our tasting table. Champagne, wine, beer, andNA drinks available for purchase.

*This is a hands-on cooking class, so please wear non-slip shoes.

*We will do our best to accommodate food allergies, but we cannot change class menus or guarantee that those with diet restrictions will be able to eat everything made during class. *All classes have a seven-day cancellation policy. You must email booknow@heirloomff.com or call 402-378-2784 to cancel an existing reservation. If you cancel within seven days, you are responsible for paying for the class. If you are sick and unable to attend your class, you are welcome to send a guest in your place.

*It may be necessary to cancel select classes due to low enrollment. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, and we will personally reach out to each guest in case of cancellation.
